Coming soon. . . my second non fiction book!
Decisions That Matter, How to make decisions in a world of endless choice
I’m so happy to finally be sharing this news!! My second non-fiction book Decisions That Matter, How to make decisions in a world of endless choice is publishing February 2025.
It’s estimated that the average person now makes around 35,000 decisions each day. We’re living in the age of abundance, with more choices than ever before. From everyday mundane choices to big life decisions, the more options we have, the more overwhelmed we become. Despite the apparent advantages of having multiple options, it often leads to confusion, second-guessing and a persistent sense of dissatisfaction. We can swipe and scroll endlessly through a world of limitless possibilities, from the clothes we buy, to the people we date and the careers we pursue. We can do anything, go anywhere, and be anyone. So how do we choose?
The good news is that there is a way to escape this trap. When it comes to making decisions that matter, we need to slow down, become more intentional, and learn to filter our choices based on our values and personal goals. This book offers real-life examples and actionable steps to help you overcome procrastination and start making decisions with clarity and confidence.
We’ve all experienced those moments of doubt, questioning whether we’re making the right choices. We reflect on decisions we regret or imagine how life might have been different if we’d taken another path. Often, it’s only with hindsight that we gain clarity, by spotting the patterns and events that led us to the decision. Life is unpredictable; even the most carefully considered choices can take us down unexpected paths. But here’s the truth- effective decision-making requires a blend of analysis, intuition, thoughtful consideration, and humility. When we learn to combine these elements, we not only make better decisions but most importantly we’re happier with the choices we’ve made.
Over the last five years, I’ve delivered keynotes and workshops for companies like Microsoft, Google, and Spotify, tackling topics such as goal-setting, high performance, and decision-making. This book is my way of sharing the practical tools and frameworks that can help us navigate decision-making in the modern world. In my roles as a business advisor, board member, friend, and parent, I’ve tried, tested, and applied these strategies in my own life in one way or another. Now I’m excited to share them with you.
When I published my first book five years ago, I was stuck at home during the Covid 19 pandemic. It was a bittersweet experience, as I wasn’t able to visit book stores, host events, sign books or meet with the people who had worked so hard to help publish that book. This time it’s different and I’m looking forward to celebrating this book release properly—whether through events and book signings, or simply by connecting with readers and other writers.
I hope this book will spark discussions about the decisions that shape our lives!
